PATRICK J LAWLESS (Managing Director)
Patrick founded Appian in 2003 after completing the management buy-out of the private client arm of Aberdeen Asset Management Ireland Limited. He has over 20 years' investment experience in the asset management business and was Head of Investment Services for ABN AMRO Bank in Ireland. Patrick is a qualified Investment Analyst and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute and the Society of Investment Professionals in the UK and is also a member of the Society of Investment Analysts in Ireland. |

PAT KILDUFF (Investment Manager)
Pat has been with Appian from the outset. He is an economist by training and is the main securities dealer in Appian. Pat has 10 years experience working in the financial markets sector, having previously worked for ABN AMRO Stockbrokers as a portfolio manager and prior to that with Goodbody Stockbrokers. Pat is a registered representative of the Irish Stock Exchange and is a graduate in economics from University College Dublin. |

JOHN MATTIMOE (Senior Portfolio Manager)
John previously worked with Merrion Stockbrokers where he held the position of Senior Equity Analyst. He previously worked for Norwich Union Investment Managers and NCB Stockbrokers. John who holds an MSc in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University was voted Finance Magazine's Analyst of the Year in 2007 and 2008. John is a registered representative of the Irish Stock Exchange and an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. |

FRANK O'BRIEN (Non Executive Director)
Frank was appointed to the board of directors of Appian in November 2009 having been an investment committee member since 2003. Frank has over 30 years of investment experience and was Chief Investment Officer with Irish Life Managers from 1992 to 1998. Frank is a Director of the Institute of Investment Analysts in Ireland Limited and is a past president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Ireland. |

KEVIN MENTON (Director)
Kevin joined Appian in October 2008. He began his career in banking with Bank of Ireland Group and spent 10 years with Ulster Bank Group where he was Head of Corporate Banking Division. Subsequent to his banking career, Kevin has spent 15 years working in industry and in 2006 successfully sold Allspace Limited, a company he co-founded in 1994. Kevin is a business and economics graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. |

DECLAN REDMOND (Director of Marketing)
Declan joined Appian in January 2005 and brought with him to the organisation a vast experience in the Irish Private Banking Sector. He began his career with Bank of Ireland before moving to ABN AMRO Bank, where he was the head of the Private Banking division. Before joining Appian, Declan held the position of Senior Manager at AIB Private Banking. A graduate of University College Dublin, he is a licentiate member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. |

JOHN CONWAY (Business Development Consultant)
Formerly of Bank of Ireland Asset Management, John has more than 30 years experience in investment management including portfolio management, client service and business development. A graduate in economics of Trinity College Dublin, John has spent a significant part of his career in the fixed income markets. |

MARTIN O'HORA (Business Development Manager)
Martin has over 25 years experience working in the financial services industry, particularly in the area of pensions. He spent 18 years in Hibernian and more recently worked in Liberty Asset Management. He is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and a member of the Irish Association of Pension Managers (IIPM). |

ANNE CHAMBERS (Director of Operations)
Anne joined Appian in September 2006 and has responsibility for Compliance, Finance and Administration. She previously worked as a Manager with AIB Private Banking and prior to that with ABN AMRO Bank. Anne is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Qualified Financial Adviser.
